From the 2006 tour of Roger Waters, featuring the complete reproduction of “Madness” that finally started, the second half of the show, Italy recorded the live performance of Verona on the 2 nd day and 5 th June of the super high sound quality and complete. Roger joined the third period Pink Floyd at “LIVE 8” in 2005, members of the heyday gathered together. However, it is not a continuous activity. Gilmore released a solo album and started the tour. 遂にスタートした「狂気」完全再現をショウ後半にフィーチャーしたロジャー・ウォータースの2006年ツアーより、イタリアはヴェローナ公演2日目、6月5日のライブを超高音質･完全収録。前半にソロ代表作とフロイド･クラシックを効果的に配置したファン必聴盤。「狂気」はあくまでもオリジナルに忠実な演奏で、誰もが望んだセットを超高音質で堪能することができます。やはり「狂気」の楽曲は、曲単体で演奏するより、連続したセットの中でより素晴らしい効果をあげることがよく分かります。この日以降、セット落ちしてしまっているFinal Cutの名曲The Gunner’s Dreamも収録。第一部のラストには、久々の演奏となるSheepが登場。それぞれが聴き所のになっています。Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sunは後半のサックスとフリーキーなギターアレンジが効果的で、実に素晴らしい盛り上がりを体感することができます。アンコールはウォール・メドレーで観客を狂喜させます。 Vera、Bring The Boys Back Homeといったところが面白い選曲です。各ディスクにそれぞれ数箇所にデジタルの音飛びがあり、The Great Gig In The Skyの4:08にノイズが入ってしまっているのが残念ですが、それを理由にコレクションに入れないのは勿体無いと思うほど素晴らしい録音であり、非常にグレードの高い超高音質タイトルです。合計収録時間2時間30分。

2005年の「LIVE 8」で第三期ピンクフロイドにロジャーが合流し、全盛期のメンバーが一堂に会した。しかしながら、継続的な活動にはいたらず。ギルモアはソロアルバムをリリースし、ツアーも開始した。それに対抗するかのようにロジャーもツアーを開始したと勘繰ってしまうが、実際のところ、そうした見方は間違っていないのかなと感じてしまう。コンサートの第二部で「DARK SIDE OF THE MOON」を完奏したことがその理由だ。まるで、その曲の所有権をロジャーが主張しているかのようだ。その演奏内容はスタジオ盤を忠実に再現しており、非常によくまとまっている。その他、30年ぶりの演奏となる「ANIMALS」収録のSheepなど、聴きどころは多い。
