Paisley Park which began business on September 11, 1987. This is a classic sound source which recorded the design of the live concert of the year through New Year’s Eve of the year ~ New Year of the following year with a high sound quality sound board! Co-stars dreams of Emperor Miles wearing purple suit and Genius Prince! Those who have not heard yet are sure to take this opportunity!

December 31, 1987 Benefit concert for Minnesota’s homeless relief held at Paisley Park. With a donation of 200 dollars per person, Prince ‘s parents and about 400 visitors gathered at the venue. There are many songs from the latest album “Sign” O “The Times” of the time, opening from curtain drum solo of Sheila E and going to “Hot Thing”. Before the audience of only 400 people Prince and the band are playing in a relatively relaxed mood. The following “If I Was Your Girlfriend” will also be sung almost in an arrangement according to the album. From around the hit “Let’s Go Crazy” it gradually becomes a powerful guitar and vocal. From “When Doves Cry” it will be more exciting for the new year! Next is “Purple Rain” slow play, it is a special version that medley “Hikaru no Hikari”. What starts with the voice of “Happy New Year!” Is “It’s Gonna Be A Beautiful Night” And! It is the emperor Miles Davis who appears on the stage early in the New Year! 1987年12月31日ペイズリー・パークで行われたミネソタのホームレス救済の為のベネフィットコンサート。ひとり200ドルの寄付金で会場にはプリンスの両親そして約400人の来場者が集まった。当時の最新ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ「Sign”O”The Times」からの曲が多く、シーラEのﾄﾞﾗﾑ･ｿﾛから幕を開け「Hot Thing」へ。たった400人の観客を前にプリンスもバンドも比較的リラックスしたムードで演奏しています。続く「If I Was Your Girlfriend」も、ほぼｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ通りのｱﾚﾝｼﾞで歌われます。ヒット曲「Let’s Go Crazy」あたりからは徐々に力のこもったギターとボーカルになってきます。「When Doves Cry」からそろそろ年明けに向けて盛り上がっていきます！お次は「Purple Rain」スローなプレイで、「蛍の光」をメドレーするスペシャルバージョンとなっています。「1999」で再び会場をお祭り状態へ！キャットが踊りまくる「U Got The Look」で更に盛り上げて1987年に別れを告げます！

「ハッピー・ニュー・イヤー！」の声とともに始まるのは「It’s Gonna Be A Beautiful Night」そして！新年早々ｽﾃｰｼﾞに登場するのは帝王マイルス・デイビス！一吹きでマイルスと分かるミュート・トランペットの音が響くと、雰囲気は一転して緊張感の張り詰めたステージに！お互い目を合わせようともせずにピリピリとしたプレイが続く。スキャットでマイルスのフレーズに絡んでいき、マイクがハウリングを起こすまで2人は一歩も引かずにプレイします。プリンスの指示通りスネアのビートを挟み、「ミスター・マイルス・デイビス！」と会場に紹介すると、マイルスはそれに応えて「ピーイィ！」と吹いて退場していきます。

マイルスがステージを去った後もプリンスの勢いは収まらず、「Housequake」からアレサの「Chain Of Fools」、JB「Mother Popcorn」へと繋いでファンク大会はますます過熱していきます。そして、そのままの激しいペースで新曲「Alphabet St.」をお披露目したり、何度も「Housequake」をやったり「Cold Sweat」まで披露して、最後は「It’s Gonna Be A Beautiful Night」で「サンキュー・グッナイ！」とライヴ終了。偉大な二人の共演は短いですが、本当にこの二人が共演したいう事実は凄いことですね。シリーズ毎度の限定ナンバリング入りです！第一弾の名古屋公演は好評を持ちましてソールド・アウト！ありがとうございました！
