フロイドは８月の日本公演後、豪州ツアーを経て、９月からヨーロッパ・ツアーを行い、勢いそのままに10月より５度目の大規模な北米ツアーを開始します。本盤は、ちょうど「Meddle」発売直後の11月10日のカナダ、ケベック公演を収録。昨年末にフロイド・マニアよりネットにアップされた新しいトランスファー・ヴァージョンを使用しています。アップした人物の説明によると、本テイクは2000年ごろ入手した2nd GenテープからのMDコピーとのこと。収録時間2時間20分。説明通り、現状出回っている同ソースの中では最長のものであり、音の鮮度も驚くほど良く、HL既発盤「Labyrinths」よりもはるかに良質な音で収録されています。この澄み切ったような音を聴けば、これまでの71年ケベック公演の音の印象が一変してしまうのではないでしょうか。アナログテープに起因するノイズやカットも散見されるものの、この時代のオーディエンス録音の平均レベルを遥かに上回る音の質の高さに聴き手は大いに驚かされることでしょう。2nd GenからのMD経由という言葉のイメージからくる音の粗さや情報量の不足と言った印象は、この音からは全く受けません。高域も低域もしっかりと過不足無く出ており、サウンドバランスも良好。この時期のフロイドのライヴの凄さを体感するには、またとないニューエディションの登場と言えるでしょう。（おそらくマスターに起因する）劣化、ノイズ、カット（曲間も全てカットされています）、テープフリップ等に目をつぶれば、これをこのままプレスCD化しても全く問題ないレベルです。当店としては高かったピッチを補整、音量を適度にレベルアップさせており、より音の迫力・魅力が増しています。ギフト盤と思って侮るなかれ。こんな凄い音源がまだまだあるんだということを再認識させてくれる最強テイク！

「The Embryo」は間奏部の４ビート・シャッフル・ジャムにおいて、ウォーターズとメイソンのリズムセクションのタイトなコンビネーションをバックに、ギルモアによるフリーなコードカッティングとライトによるモード風オルガンソロが良くスイングしている。「Fat Old Sun」は、透明感溢れるギルモアのヴォーカルや原音にエコーを加えただけのギターソロがフォーキーな印象を与えるアレンジで、間奏部の畳みかえるような音圧との落差が面白い。「Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun」は、ウォーターズのリードヴォーカルが良く出ており、また間奏部のライトによるサウンドトラック風な即興演奏とギルモアのスライドギターによる効果的な立体的な空間を構築している。ウォーターズのフランス語によるMCと風邪の音を使用したSEに導かれて始まる「One Of These Days」。間奏部で、ウォーターズのベースとライトによるシンセサイザーを使用した４分程の即興演奏が挟まれる。「Echoes」はリードボーカルが不安定ながらも好演。「A Saucerful Of Secrets」はライトによるピアノの打楽器演奏のない通常通りの演奏である。本公演は全体的には好演と言える。
