先週リリースされた大好評だったオリジナル音源を使用したポールの東京ドーム3公演タイトル「COMPLETE TOKYO DOME 2013」の第二弾が登場です。前作は、同一テーパーによるスタンド席からの、やや遠目ながら良質な音源集でした。本作は、代わって、その全てがアリーナ席での録音音源を使用しており、その分、音像はより近く、スケール感満点の高品質サウンドが楽しめます。テーパーはそれぞれ別の方ですが、皆さま、録音慣れしているお馴染みのテーパーさん達ですので、安心して、ストレスなく当日のショウの全貌を楽しむことができます。まずはディスク1・2に収録された18日初日音源。本セットの顔と言える最初のEight Days A Weekの音の良さに「これがギフト?」と驚かれるのではないでしょうか。座席はB7ブロック5列目ということで、左スクリーンの前で左側PAの音を直に録音できる好ポジション。全体的に低音が大きすぎて音がバウンドしている感じだったのを大きく軽減し、適度なイコライズを施し、大変聴きやすいサウンドに仕上げています。とにかく音が近いので、当日の音のダイレクト感、ラウド感がリアルに体感できます。Bブロック前方というこで、臨場感とドーム特有のぼわっとした歓声が絶妙なバランスで録音されています。これは当日の記録として必聴・必携でしょう。続いてはディスク3・4に収録された、2日目19日音源。こちらはC15ブロック11列ということで、ステージに向かって右サイドからの録音であり、その分、初日音源より楽音が若干遠目の印象です。BよりCのほうが音が拡散し、オーディエンスノイズも多めになり、音の明度が下がるということが判ります。ただし、前述の通り、録音慣れしたテーパーによるテイクゆえ、音の安定感は抜群で、スタンド席録音程、楽音が歓声に邪魔されることもなく、一定した適度な音バランスで、ショウの全貌を楽しむことができます。最後はディスク5・6に収録された21日最終日音源。こちらはB18ブロックの3列目ということで、同じBブロックといっても、最良のポジションで録音された初日と違い、こちらは相当な右端。音の近さは初日程ではないが、2日目よりは近いといった感じで、座席の位置で想像される通りの音像です。しかしながら、ラウドに録音されすぎて、やや音像に揺れが生じている初日よりも、間違いなく安定した完成度の高い音像で録音されており、結果として、今回のポール3日間音源集の中では、最も優秀な録音テイクになっています。こちらも相当録音慣れしているテーパーによるテイクであることは明白であり、当店のお客様は、間違いなく大好きであろう、実に優れた録音です。自然で、ふくよか、適度な臨場感と耳に優しい楽音の響き・・・まさにこれぞオーディエンス録音!と聴いていて本当に嬉しくなってしまう最高のテイクです。個人的にはこういうのをプレスCD化して欲しいなと思うほどで、これを聴いて、感動しないポール・ファンは絶対にいないと思えるほどのお薦めのテイク。今回の「COMPLETE TOKYO DOME 2013」ギフトシリーズの3公演、計6テイクの中で、あらゆる視点から見て、ベストな録音です。オーディエンス録音っていいなーとしみじみ聴き入ってしまう感動のテイクです。是非、今週末は、本テイクでポール最終日を楽しんでほしいと思います。(やや遠いかもしれませんが、個人的にはこれぞPerfect Soundです。非常に良い音です。)全て優秀なオリジナル音源で構成されたポールの東京ドーム3日間の一大記録集。限定のリリースゆえ、ファンの方は、ぜひゲットして下さい。
