11月11日から18日まで、バーミンガム、グラスゴー、ニューカッスル、マンチェスター、ロンドンと5か所で再結成ツアーを行ったモット・ザ・フープル。本盤は、ツアー最終公演である11月18日のロンドンO2アリーナでのライヴを1時間42分に渡って、極上レベルの高音質オーディエンス録音で完全収録しています。イアン・ハンター、ミック・ラフル、ピート・ワッツ、ヴァーデン・アレンの4人による再編ライヴで、本ツアーではデイヴ・グリフィンに代わるドラマーとしてマーティン・チャンバースが務めています。録音者はロンドン近郊のライヴを中心に、毎度、素晴らしいオリジナル・マスターを届けてくれるお馴染みのテーパーによるもので、本盤もまた、驚くほどの高音質でショウの全貌を記録しています。2009年のロンドン・ハマースミスでの再編ライヴは感動的なイベントでしたが、今回のO2はやや会場が大きすぎたようで、6割程度の入りだったようです。ライヴはエネルギッシュで素晴らしいのですが、既に多くのファンは感想を述べている通り、イアン・ハンターのボーカルが荒れ気味で、高域のコントロールが辛そうで、それが残念でした。しかし、音だけ聞く限りでは、たしかに声はつらそうな箇所はありますが、いつまでもパワフルにエネルギッシュであろうとする気迫は荒れ気味の歌声からもストレートに伝わってきて、聴く者を大いに感動させてくれます。音質は素晴らしく全体の聴きごたえも満点。「もしかすると、このロンドンライヴが最後では？」と言う声も聞かれますが、いずれにせよ、ファンは間違いなく必携・必聴の大推薦のライヴ盤です。
