リンダロンシュタットの来日公演は、1979年が有名ですが、本作に収録は1981年9月13日甲子園球場で行なわれたコンサートを収録しています。この来日公演はリンダ単独ではなく、ジェームステイラー、JDサウザー、ローニンらとのジョイント・ステージで、横浜スタジアムと甲子園球場の2公演のみというレアなコンサート。当時の大物アーティストが一同に会するイベントとあって、高額のチケットにもかかわらず、大きな話題となりました。

グラウンドはステージのみで、客席はスタンド席のみという今となっては珍しい形態。ステージ構成は最初にリンダロンシュタットのステージ、その後JDサウザー、最後にジェームステイラーという順番で行なわれました。本作は、そのリンダロンシュタットのステージを完全収録したものです。

1981年の甲子園といえば、真弓、掛布、岡田のクリーンナップに、初代勝利打点王の佐野がおり、エース小林繁と若菜のバッテリーを擁した阪神タイガースのスタメンを思い浮かべれば、おおよそ時代感覚がつかめるのではと思います。ちなみにこの年のドラフト1位は源五郎丸洋でした。
