As mentioned in the reissue of the Dusseldorf performance in 1970 released after a long time, it was the LP item that was released at the time that initially let me know the existence of the live on this day. Among them, “WHITE SUMMER” boasts outstanding recognition and popularity in the 1970s. It was MARC’s Japanese label that released this. Recently the queen ‘s “INVITE YOU TO A NIGHT AT THE BUDOKAN” released from the same label also remembered the CD reprint. Released from existence that should have been said to be a second generation Japanese label that appeared after OG label which was a pioneer of rare sound source release in Japan.
Unlike OG which White Jacket & Slick was commonplace, this title of excellence of this label is that most titles were released with a firm print jacket. One of the masterpieces in that was “INVITE YOU ~”, but this “WHITE SUMMER” is also wrapped in a jacket of a marvelous design that MARC seems like (from the first leg of the tour in the US in 1973) It was treated as a masterpiece from Japan as well as from around the world.
Regarding Düsseldorf, which is the main one, I was copying from European Megalare LP “LIVE” (another name is “LIFE”), but in addition to its valuable sound source and contents, it did not degrade much as copying, as then It was a very easy-to-hear sound quality that led to a high evaluation. This means that the Japanese label spread the overseas rare board, which is the reverse pattern of ‘A CELLARFUL OF NOISE’ which Oak made 929 was copied by American TAKRL label and became best selling. Actually received popularity for the first time overseas, later produced the American version of “WHITE SUMMER”.
Even so, after all it seems to be LP of the 70’s, and there are also coarse contents. Since LP is not filled with only three songs from Düsseldorf, it also contains the sound source of Winterland in April 1968. Although there is not a problem there, there is no problem at the end, I put in the “ABC songs” that people who are not related to ZEP are singing, filling gaps in the record. Although this “song of ABC”, there are times when it is introduced as play plays of plants and daughters Carmen at overseas sites, of course it is actually by a totally different person. It seems to boot in the 1970s that even if such a sound source without pulsation is inserted, it is allowed.
Including songs of such “ABC songs”, vintage maniacs are unbearable nostalgic LPs gifted and released in accordance with the recurrence of Duesseldorf in 1970. This Dusseldorf recording is caught with a larger sound image than this release, but likes and dislikes may split if the point that it is fancy sound quality is now. However, it is this sound that heard that mania is difficult in the 70’s. Also, unlike OG, each Japanese LP label of the second generation (for example, Jeff Beck’s Sapporo sound source “LIVE IN JAPAN”) was not blessed with traders, overall the quality of the board quality was seen, and actually scratch noise I am worried, but that is also the touch of the time.
And for winterland sound sources, especially “Communication Breakdown”, extremely high pitch was a major disadvantage, but this time we adjusted this issue though gift CD-R. Compared to the original LP, you can hear it with a remarkably stable pitch. This is a similar problem found in LP such as “UNBURIED DEAD ZEPPO’S GRAVE” and “FIRST CONCERT AS THE NEW YARDBIRDS” which recorded “Communication Breakdown” of the same performance, at that time the tape It probably was circulating around. This is already a nostalgic one gift.

最近では同レーベルからリリースされたクイーンの「INVITE YOU TO A NIGHT AT THE BUDOKAN」のCD復刻も記憶に新しいところ。
これは同じように同公演の「Communication Breakdown」を収録した「UNBURIED DEAD ZEPPO’S GRAVE」や「FIRST CONCERT AS THE NEW YARDBIRDS」といったLPでも見受けられた問題であり、当時はピッチが狂ったままのテープが出回っていたのでしょう。
