最新のデジタル機材による撮影だけあって、その映像美は実に素晴らしい。遠景からのワンカメですが、ズームで寄るとリッチー・フォークナーやグレン・ティプトンが弾きながら呟いている歌詞まで読み取れる画質です。音声も画質に負けていない。さすがに本編プレス２CDには及びませんが、実にクリアで分離もばっちり。ところどころオーバーピークになる箇所さえなければ、プレス間違いなしだったのですが……。
そんなハイクオリティでサプライズの数々を目撃できることこそ、本作の醍醐味。本編プレス２CDのマスターに比べると、若干短いですが、冒頭のトラブルもばっちり収められています。赤いライトでムードたっぷりに盛り上がる中、ショウが始まらずAC/DCが流れ出す会場。そのどよめき、困惑。トラブルを告げるアナウンスに「えーっ」「がんばれー！」と上がる様子まで、ありありと映し出されています。
そして、ハイクオリティの威力が発揮されるのが、ショウが始まってから。ほとんど１曲ごとに衣装を替えるロブ・ハルフォード、曲のイメージを次々と映し出すスクリーン（「March Of The Damned」の映像は気持ち悪い……）、お馴染みのハーレーもしっかり収められています。
そんな中、音声だけではうかがい知れなかったのが、ギターの２人。各地で「グレン・ティプトンが動かない」と話題になりましたが、確かにフォーメーションこそこなすものの、いつになく動いていない。JUDAS PRIESTでも最高齢のグレンは、現在67歳。トニー・アイオミと同い年であり、メタル界全体でも最長老にあたるだけに無理もありません。しかし、その指先は健在で、「Victim Of Changes」「Beyond The Realms Of Death」では流石のソロを聴かせてくれる。「Victim Of Changes」でキメを弾ききって威厳たっぷりに虚空を指さす佇まい、それこそアイオミばりの風格です。
グレンに代わって気を吐いているのが、リッチー・フォークナー。唯一の30代だけあって、機敏で元気。常軌を逸した大暴れはしませんが、客の煽りを一手に引き受け、片手を上げる姿も雄々しい。「静のグレン・動のリッチー」という新たなフォーマットがしっかり確立している。本編プレス２CDの解説でも書きましたが、出しゃばりすぎず、大人しくもないリッチーのバランス感覚は映像でもしっかり分かります。
そのリッチー最大の見せ場は「You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’」に盛り込まれたソロタイム。ここまでの活躍を労うように「あいつの出番だぜ」と指さすグレン、拳を合わせて激励するロブ。そして、鮮やかなライトに彩られ、ブロンドを振り乱しながらぶっとい音で弾き倒す姿は、まるでザック・ワイルド。観客も、彼の仕事ぶりに満足しているからこそ、この時とばかりに輝くリッチーに大声援で応える。なんて美しく、なんてメタルな光景でしょうか。
もちろん、東日本大震災に触れるロブMCや、大盤振る舞いのアンコールといったサプライズもばっちり目撃できるわけですが、そんなサプライズだらけの最後には、映像でないと分からないもう１つのサプライズが。なんとグレンが客席に降りて観客と直接挨拶する！　常に日本を特別と思ってくれたJUDAS PRIESTですが、その中でも武道館は特別中の特別。その気持ちが形となって目の前に広がるのです。あれ？　おかしいな、超クリア映像がなぜかぼやけて見える……。
苦笑いなトラブルから、血湧き肉躍るメタル、胸を熱くする名シーンなど、あらゆる想いが吹き出しては駆け巡る２時間。本編プレス２CDのイマジネーションを膨らませるどころか、この１本だけでも大満足できる大傑作映像です。重金属製の神々を愛する総ての方へ、本作を贈ります。
