About one month since the announcement of “BLOW BY BLOW”. The best masterpiece album that can experience 100% of this Sutetsuna at the top is an upgrade reprint. The ultimate masterpiece is “Super Better Audience Recording of May 3, 1975 Boston Performance”. Yes, it is a live album that revived the famous “HEAVY BLOW” with the latest and meticulous remaster.
“HEAVY BLOW” was exactly one piece of shock. Speaking of the Boston performance, the best Steve Hopkins recording ever known is the representative of 1975 with numerous masterpieces with the highest peak “FIRE STILL BURNING”. However, in 2010, the same Boston performance was discovered from the collection of world-famous Dan Lampinsky. It was a completely different recording from Hopkins tape, but it was even super high sound quality. Hopkins recording was also a name recording that was out of common sense of the 70’s audience, but the sound which becomes more than it is the unprecedented impact. It was a shock that “Such sounds are possible!?” Rather than “two were born from one performance”. Direct sound of the sound, clearness, detail of detail, glitteriness of ringing. Even if I check it with every element, there is no mischievousness, it sounds just like a sound board …. No, as if it was an official work it was drawing a beautiful and powerful sound world.
More interesting was that Hopkins recording and cheers were similar. Although the venue is wrapped in a mood that is overwhelmed by the performance of Jeff Beck, full of applause and encouragement is still in place. That voice is the same for both Hopkins recording and Lampin ski recording. Actually, Rampin ski recording is somewhat short due to the relationship between before and after the show, encore wait, tape change etc (there is no effect on the performance sound). “HEAVY BLOW” complements such parts with Hopkins recording, but there is no discomfort at all. A name recorded person who can make its name in the world was turning the tape with quite close seats …… It was the moment that the heart danced also in such a coincidence spectacle.
This work is one such polished miracle plate “HEAVY BLOW” polished with latest and meticulous remastering. Of course, because it is a high-quality sound that originally goes out of sight, it is not the difference as if it were “a different thing!” (It has no meaning to process so far), but aimed at its ultimate only with the precious miracle shine. Particularly improved are separation feeling and stereoscopic feeling. Although the original recording itself boasted a splendid separation feeling, in this work, its center of gravity is set to both the high frequency range and the low frequency range. As a result, the center of gravity separates for each musical instrument, and as a result, contours and “skimmer” have also felt remarkably. This does not mean simply “sound divided for each instrument”, but it has a smooth three dimensional feel like grain from the rising edge of one sound to the mute. One sound One sound has a presence, it is a sound world where it intersects and intersects.
Originally, such mastering is something aimed at with a superb soundboard. Normally, it is meaningless to go with audience recording. However, this work was able to be realized. Indeed, it is a live album that was made possible only because of the miracle Rampin ski recording.

Boston recording of Dan · Lampinski that showed the heights that can not be reached even with modern digital recording. It is a classic masterpiece that pulled out the possibility to the utmost and polished up. What is drawn with that sound is Jeff Beck who is just a celebrity who just created a historical famous “BLOW BY BLOW”. At the peak of a genius guitarist, a genius recording man was present, a miracle was born. A 100% live album that has lifted that splendid glow with modern technology. Regardless of how long the rock guitar’s history is and how rich it is, such a masterpiece is not so. It is exactly a world heritage of music culture. It is contained in a press CD for permanent preservation, and it is here.

★ About remaster work

I divided the whole center of gravity into treble and bass and made it a sharp impression. Originally it is super high sound quality so I only fine-tune it, but the outline of each musical instrument stand out. I raised the sound pressure to the last minute.
