IRON MAIDEN’s oldest live album is a gift-release decision! Members of the phantom, Tony Parsons and Doug Sampson era two shows is the whole listen treasure audience album !!
Founder Steve Harris, but went sporadically live with the name of the IRON MAIDEN from 1976, of its activities became active in 1978 to Dave Murray, three of Paul Di’Anno is complete from. Since then, until Adrian Smith to join, the three went up the stairs of success while replacing the second guitar and drum in the nucleus. Of such very early IRON MAIDEN oldest record is, what it is 1978 December 31, 2008 recording “THE SOUNDHOUSE TAPES”, this work is a summary of the oldest two shows in the live recording.
First, the disk 1, “September 10, music machine performance in 1979”. This is what is the oldest of the live recording. Second guitar of time that produced the “THE SOUNDHOUSE TAPES” is was Paul Cairns, change to Tony Parsons in this work. Drum is the same Doug Saunpuson as “THE SOUNDHOUSE TAPES”. Its sound, vintage feeling, such as choking on the historical mood is delicious audience recording. Not a “like the sound board,” but, never, not in kind, such as the roar, cracking sound, the tone is clearly and pleasant. This day has been around for two kinds of master, but more long, we recorded a good best version of the sound.
Live unfolds in the sound, already occupied by full-length original music, has also been playing early is to be recorded in the “KILLERS”, “Another Life,” “Innocent Exile”, “Drifter”. But are those playing complex music Abunagenaku, is different considerably and that’s familiar in the “LIVE AT THE RAINBOW”, “MAIDEN JAPAN”. That Bakusou is also not sharp sharpness, Suttonkyo a shout of Diano is greenly, drum also somewhat dowdy. However, the taste of this vulgarity the rear initial MAIDEN. Faded in the debut, it is body odor of “KILLERS” The NWOBHM band that was about to come almost disappear the smell intense.
Behalf of disc 2 of the “October 5, Ruskin Arms performances in 1979”. Here also from the version known six types, using the best-longest master. Shades but is live, which is also recorded in the “YEARS OF WRATH 1979-1981” of the label, more of this work are many songs, sound is also a jerk and good. Although compared to the disc 1 there is a little over the peak feeling, clear of is the top by far. Nuances of performance is handed down to vivid. That’s clear is particularly thankfully, Tony Parsons of the guitar. Sound in songs like crazy familiar, rock ‘n’ roll tone rhythm guitar of unfamiliar Parsons. It is awfully fresh. In addition, the guitar solo has defeated play in Wakea’ in the order of Parsons → Murray.
In addition many songs from the disc 1, “The Ides Of March”, “Strange World,” “I’ve Got The Fire” also listen. In particular, “Strange World” that is, debut “steel of virgin” songs exhaustive. So we enjoy as a valuable member and developing a version of the great board. In addition, the point is also possible to have taken up the “The Ides Of March” from this period. Former member of the Thunder stick is brought to SAMSON, but is a song with a story behind it, which had announced earlier in the name of “Thunderburst”, it was unveiled at live from still SAMSON to announce (June 1980) before. So it is also the historical evidence.

After this, the IRON MAIDEN joins Dennis Stratton and Clive Burr debut “steel of virgin” production (January 1980) → “METAL FOR MUTHAS TOUR 1980” (May 2, 3) of → JUDAS PRIEST “BRITISH STEEL TOUR 1980” of support (March) → “IRON MAIDEN TOUR 1980” and proceed with Ayumi (4 over December), we continue to develop and to our well know a big success. This work, before reaching there, we fell swoop to the deals two sets to listen to historical masterpiece “steel of virgin” before the 1979 stage.

IRON MAIDEN
さらにディスク1より曲も多く、「The Ides Of March」「Strange World」「I’ve Got The Fire」も聴ける。
