このライヴの１つ前となるハマースミス公演は、フィル・ライノットとの最期の共演となりましたが、本作は完全にゲイリー・ムーアが主役のステージ。しかも、当時のメンバーは“ゲイリー、ニール・カーター、ボブ・デイズリー”の黄金トライアングルなのです。
後の大名盤「WILD FRONTIER」を創り上げた３人が一堂に集ったのは、1984年12月。「EMERALD AISLES」でも見られるアイルランド・ツアーでした。グレン・ヒューズの加入未遂もあってアルバム「RUN FOR COVER」で３人が共演したのは「Once in a Lifetime」だけでしたが、その後はガッチリとチームを編成。「WILD FRONTIER」「AFTER THE WAR」を経て、1989年にブルースへ転向するまで“ハードロッキン・ゲイリー”の中核を担いました。本作は、この３人が完全に機能し始めたばかりの、最高のショウをたっぷりと聴かせてくれるのです。
そして、その最高のアンサンブルを捉えきったCrazy S.サウンドが、また凄い。客席録音とは思えぬズ太く、音圧十分な迫力サウンド。特に、ギターソロ・パートのド迫力は尋常ではないレベルです。あまりの迫力に最初の「Run For Cover」では、ヴォーカルがオーバーピーク気味にビビッてしまいますが、２曲目の「Reach For The Sky」からは、ほとんどサウンドボードのような音質に変貌します。　もちろん、迫力だけでなく、繊細なニュアンスもばっちり。「Empty Rooms」イントロのなんとも艶やかなギターのトーン、そして「Empty Rooms」中盤のベースソロの豊かさ……握った手が痛くてしょうがない……。そんな繊細さが殊更光るのが、「Victims Of The Future」冒頭のアコースティック・ソロ。普段は、ひとくさりサラッと弾くだけですが、この日は３分にわたって情熱を湛えながら弾きぬく！　そのまま「Victims Of The Future」のイントロへ繋がっていきますが、ここでもニールとのハーモニーが美しい。音質は決して音楽の本質ではありませんが、音が良くて悪いことはないんですねぇ……。
素晴らしいサウンドは、安定感も抜群で「Rockin’ Every Night」のイントロでテープチェンジのカットあるものの（惜しい！）、最後の最後まで心ゆくまで輝く“ハードロッキン・ゲイリー”の世界が堪能できます。この後、黄金の３人がそろったGARY MOORE BANDは、日本、欧州と1985年いっぱいをツアーに費やします。そして、翌1986年にはフィル・ライノットの死を経験し、「WILD FRONTIER」へと進んでゆくのです。“ケルト三部作”の旅を始めたばかりのゲイリー・ムーアを捉えきった、最高のライヴ・アルバム。この機会にぜひ！
