Eric Clapton’s upgrade master suddenly appeared on the net! It is a release of the best version of our only shop that upgrades it further. From 1988, the celebrate nationwide tour to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the debut, it is the main board which recorded the September 23rd Laguna Hills performance completely with stereo audience recording of the highest level. Our shop has released the sound source of this day already from the original master “IRVINE CROSSING” title. But as our upgrade master, our policy is to deliver better things to everyone. The master on this net was a powerful sound quality that bass worked with a rare DAT recording sound source in 1988, but the richness of this bass range became adversely adversely covered with dull clouds It gave an impression like the sky. The bass has been lost in the sound quality. In addition, the intro of the opening number Crossroads was a little lacking, and up to the poor contact sound of the plug of the equipment was recorded because it was impatient at the beginning of the recording, there was a left channel drop due to it. However, our shop solved all these shortcomings. We solved the stunning mastering that our engineers wiped out clouds covered with dullness, and the defect of lack of intro, patched from mastering already-launched master, and resolved it by splendid synthesis processing. Further shifting the musical sound that was biased slightly to the right somewhat throughout the whole center. As a result, this sound quality has exceeded the pre-launch board, as well as a clear and granular sound like a sound board, completely different from this netmaster.

エリック・クラプトンのアップグレード・マスターが突如ネット上に出現！それをさらにグレードアップさせての当店だけのベスト・バージョンのリリースです。1988年、デビュー25周年を記念して行われたセレブレート全米ツアーより、9月23日のラグナ・ヒルズ公演を極上レベルのステレオ・オーディエンス録音で完全収録したのが本盤です。当店は既にこの日の音源をオリジナルマスターから「IRVINE CROSSING」のタイトルでリリースしています。しかしアップグレードマスターとなれば、より良いものを皆様にお届けするのが当店のポリシーです。今回のネット上のマスターは、88年には珍しいDAT録音音源で低音の効いた迫力ある音質だったのですが、この低音域の豊かさが逆にアダになり、どんよりとした雲に覆われた空のような印象を与えるものでした。低音が音質の篭りに繋がってしまったのです。さらにオープニングナンバーCrossroadsのイントロが少し欠如していた上に、録音開始で焦ったために機材のプラグの接触不良音までが収録され、それに伴う左チャンネル落ちがありました。しかしこれらの欠点を当店がすべて解消しました。どんより覆っていた雲を当店のエンジニアが一掃する見事なマスタリング、さらにイントロの欠如欠陥を、マスタリングした既発盤マスターからパッチし見事な合成処理を施して解消しました。さらに全編を通じてやや右寄りに偏っていた楽音をセンターにシフト。その結果、この音質は既発盤を上回るのはもちろんのこと、今回のネットマスターとはまったく別物の、サウンドボードのようなクリアで粒立ったサウンドになりました。

デビュー25周年を自ら祝い、アンソロジー作品のリリースと共に長年サポートしてくれたファンに感謝する意味で実施された大規模なワールドツアーでしたが、RAH連続公演をメインに据えた序盤のイギリス公演、ゲスト・ミュージシャンを迎えて行われた終盤の日本公演と、トピックはいろいろありましたが、中でも本格的なロードとなったこの全米ツアーは最も長期に渡るこの年のメインイベントでした。本盤の公演日はその中盤に当たっていました。セットリストは25年のキャリアを代表する名曲群で構成されていました。ジャパンツアー時にはセット落ちしたリメイク・アレンジの強固なグルーブで演奏されるAfter Midnightでは抜群の安定度を感じることが出来、サスティーン＆ベントを多用したソロで妖艶な雰囲気さえも醸し出す長尺のオリジナルブルース「Same Old Blues」、中盤の激しいソロと旋律を重視したコーダを見事に色分けし、マーク・ノップラーとの相乗効果を最大限に引き出した「Layla」等、全編でこのバンドのポテンシャルが存分に発揮されています。後のジャパンツアーと異なる点は、この時のパーカッションは後にレギュラーメンバーとなった元エルトン・ジョンバンドのレイ・クーパーではなく、ブリティッシュ女性パーカショニストの第一人者ジョディ・リンスコットが参加していたことでした。数限りないアーティストをサポートしてきた彼女がクラプトンをサポートしたのは、このツアーのみでした。クーパーよりももっと多くのパーカッションを多彩に操る彼女とスティーヴ・フェローンとの絡み具合もリスニングの一つのポイントと言えるでしょう。88年セレブレート全米ツアーの代表的音源のベスト・グレードタイトルが本盤です。どうぞこの機会に本音源のベスト・バージョンをご入手ください。初回プレスを表すシリアルナンバー入ステッカー付限定盤となりますので、どうぞお早めのオーダーをお願い致します。
