ストーンズで話題の「Wolfgang’s Vault」。今や、ジャンルを問わず、驚愕の(しかもその全てが超一級！）台風の目となっているわけですが、新たに超ド級アイテムが登場！！ポップ・ヒストリーの中でも最も長く、最も成功したコラボレーションライヴである「Face to Face」ツアーは、1994年7月のフィラデルフィア3連続公演からスタートしたわけですが、その最終日3日目、7月12日のライヴを3時間3分に渡って、怒涛の超高音質ステレオ・サウンドボード録音で収録しています。最後の2人の共演パートのBennie And The Jetsのラストで無情のテープ切れでカットアウトし、更にはアンコール・セクションが未収なのが残念ではありますが、(他にもI Go To Extremesの冒頭が欠落しています。）いずれにせよ、これまで出回っていなかった、ここまで高品質なライン録音が突如3時間分、ドン！と出現したのは、驚き以外何物もないでしょう。聴けば、「これは思っていたい以上」と唸ること間違いなしの、壮絶の超高音質ライン録音がスピーカーいっぱいに延々と飛び出してきます。厳密に言うと、音質（というか音像）はコンサートが進むに従ってどんどん向上し、特にビリー・ジョエルのセクションは(決して大袈裟ではなく）神懸ったような、本当に唖然とするようなサウンドでショウを「体感」できるのです。だからこそ、最後の欠損が本当に悔やまれるわけですが、そこに到達するまでの3時間、圧巻の音のドラマの素晴らしさ・凄まじさは、本当に筆舌に尽くし難いものがあります。貴方様が、洋楽ファンならば、絶対に何らかの方法でこの音源を入手し、楽しんで頂きたい・・・と切に願います。ここまで凄いパフォーマンス、そしてサウンドというのは本当に滅多にあるモノではありません。これはもう、問答無用で楽しんで頂くしかない・・・というわけで、この圧巻の音の品格に相応しい、永久保存用プレスCDで是非是非、お楽しみ下さい。間違いなく、一生の1枚となるはずです。
