Bowie releases the album “Outside” in 1995. As a new concept album following “BLACK TIE WHITE NOISE”, it was an era when the image of the album, the hair cut short, the amazing makeup Bowie was impressive. The collaboration after a long time with Brian Eno is also an interesting album. The release is on May 25, 1995, and the OUTSIDE TOUR accompanying the album has started on September 14, 1995 without waiting for that release. This tour is very large, continued until February 1996, and indeed counts 68 performances.

Following the success of OUTSIDE TOUR, the tour which was temporarily suspended will be restarted from June 1996. Its first place is Japan, and not only in Tomei Osaka but also in Hiroshima, Ogura, Fukuoka etc, we have mobilized large people, and many fans actually experienced at this time. Historically, the tour resumed at this time is called OUTSIDE SUMMER FESTIVALS TOUR to distinguish it from OUTSIDE TOUR. This tour title comes from the fact that the appearance of the European tour following the Japanese performance mainly chose various festival stages. I am amazed at how many such rock festivals were held in various parts of the country, but this work is one of them, complete recording of Lorelei Fes performed in Germany on June 22, 1996 with soundboard doing.

Although it is a tour accompanying the album “Outside”, the outside color is thin and, if anything, it is an interest like this time stage, the stage of Bowie Classics due to the interpretation of Bowie at this time. In the case of Bowie, there is not much meaning in the new and old times of the time when the song was announced, and the presentation of new songs is merely a work of accumulating their songs, and from that occasionally stage, from the huge catalog at that time, It is a feeling that you are selecting a song that satisfies your expression greed. Is not the first song “interesting song selection” with “get back with anger”? Also on this tour TIN MACHINE ‘s Reeves Gabres is accompanying, it is characterized by intense guitar built in everywhere and arranging hardness in front. It is interesting that breaks are put in the middle and it is completely transformed into a song like OUTSIDE. The third song “Diamond Dogs” is also a rigid arrangement and a voice like a dog groaning is added as a sound effect, and even if it is recorded as it is to OUTSIDE as it is, it has become uncomfortable. This is a 1996 Bowie’s interpretation.

The attention is “Andy Warhol”. It has been rebuilt as a completely different song with a bold arrangement on the songs of the early 70’s. Starting from a state close to a cappella, it suddenly becomes an up-tempo, a female chorus and a piano solo etc. are inserted, which is how the original song is destroyed. The same is true for “the man who sold the world”, which is a change to a quiet ballad-like arrangement for the original song on the contrary where the guitar was impressive. TIN MACHINE’s “Baby Universal” is also an interesting selection. Although originally TIN MACHINE should have been a project which made a line with Bowie’s solo, here it is set in by the same line treatment. Hard compared to TIN MACHINE ‘s live shows hidden shadows, making it an arrangement that highlights Bowie’ s vocals. Bowie selectively uses voice tone by song, and it is interesting that this song clearly considers utterance at the time of TIN MACHINE.

Personally, “Jump They Say” is a song that gets moe. Because the tour was not done when the album “BLACK TIE WHITE NOISE” was announced, the live performance of this album recording song is very rare, this is the one song. Although it is a song that can not be said to be about for live, it is still painful but somehow the original song has been reproduced. The ending of the concert concludes with a song which should be said to be a quite old song, Bowie’s Melk Mahr. Following almost the original “Heroes”, on the Ziggy Tour, “White light White Heat” was the highlight of the final stage of the concert. And “a dayday dream of the moon world” is. This song also changed the arrange greatly, and the part of guitar solo of the second half has been taking time for a long time. It can be said that a very dense world view is being developed. The end of the concert is “all young guys”. It is a feature of the Bowie stage that puts heavy songs before the end and finishes with the songs that lightly pulled out at the end. On this day, my heart will fill up with the perfect composition called “all young guys” that can be unified at the end of the whole venue.

At the same time as Lorelei Festival, another 2 in the second half of Disk 2, another tour from the same tour, July 9, 1996 Rome performance is recorded in the soundboard again. It was broadcasted by FM at that time, and here the sound quality is perfect with soundboard. It is not a complete recording at the time of broadcasting, but also Italian DJ covers, but it is registered as a precious sound board sound source of this tour.

OUTSIDE SUMMER FESTIVALS TOUR June 22, 1996 Full record of the stage at Lorelei Fes by soundboard. Also from the same tour July 9, 1996 Rome performances are imperfectly recorded on the sound board. It will be the decision board on this tour. Permanent preservation of a beautiful picture / disk specification A tightly pressed board.

OUTSIDE SUMMER FESTIVALS TOUR
