デビュー30周年を祝うスペシャル・コンサート「30周年アニヴァーサリー・セレブレーション・ジャパン・ツアー」より、1月18日、仙台サンプラザ公演を、オリジナル・マスターより、超高音質オーディエンス録音で完全収録。シンディ・ローパーの仙台公演は1995年同会場で行なわれた公演以来20年振り。この日は、2000人規模の小会場だからこその一体感と、なごやかな雰囲気のあるライブが行われました。録音者の使用マイクはShoeps MK4で、録音位置は前から７列目の中央ブロックで、この会場は６列目と７列目の間に通路があり、マイクとステージの間に何の障害物もない状況で録音できたとのことで、実際、素晴らしい高音質でショウの全体が記録されています。デビュー・アルバム「She’s So Unusal」からShe Bop、All Through The Night、Girls Just Want To Have Fun、Time After Timeといった大ヒット曲を含む全10曲中9曲を披露。全ての曲がオリジナルに近いアレンジで演奏されており、聴き応え満点です。Into The Nightlifeでは途中でステージから下りて、客席の肘掛の上に立って歌うったり（その間観客が下から支えていた）、Girls Just Want To Have Funでは途中でまたステージから下りて観客と掛け合いをしたりと、小規模会場ならではの演出で観客を大いに沸かせてくれました。中盤、名曲Time After Timeの前に、日本語でアカペラで切々と歌われた「忘れないわ」は感動的。アンコールの一曲目の「上を向いて歩こう」(Sukiyaki Song)では、最初、歌詞を入れてある自分のスマホが見つからず、潤覚えの歌詞で歌いだますが、途中でスタッフがスマホを持ってくると始めから歌いなおすというハプニングもあり、そういったところも、実際は楽しい聴きどころになっています。Change Of Heartは冒頭でマイクスタンドをおもいっきり床に叩きつけてカウントをとったり、ラストのTrue Colorsでは、スタッフが普段彼女が弾くダルシマーをステージ中央の席に置きますが、それには目もくれずステージの最前方まで行きアカペラで歌いだし、会場全体が静かに聴き入る様子が非常にリアルに収録されています。音質・内容、極上の1枚。これはお薦めです。
