CSNの90年代のライヴ音源というのはとにかく見過ごされがちだが、これは92年のハマースミス・オデオンのライヴを収録した非常にマニアックなアイテム。音質はこの会場特有の演奏に距離が感じられる音像だが、非常にすっきりとしたクリアーな音質でとても聴きやすい。この時代にしては珍しくDATではなく、ハイポジのカセットで録音したとのことで、おかげでハマースミスの割には抜けの良い音になっているわけだ。そういえば、ディランの90年のハマースミスもこんな感じの音質だった。セットリストもボックスセットをリリースした91年以降らしいメニューで、前半では「Blackbird」と「Taken At All」という、それに収録されていた2曲の演奏が気を引くが、特に後者の演奏はボックス収録のテイク(76年の録音）の雰囲気を偲ばせて良い感じだ。各人のソロコーナーではナッシュの選曲もこの時期ならではでレアだが、それ以上に何と言ってもクロスビーが当時の彼の最新アルバムからタイトルトラックだｓった「Thousand Dreams」を演奏しているのが非常に貴重だ。元々、この曲のライヴが聴けるアイテムというのが無かっただけに、それだけでも貴重だが。そもそも、92年のCSNのライヴを収録したアイテムというのはこれが初めてである。
