現在、ボズは“OUT OF THE BLUE TOUR”の真っ最中ですが、本作に収められているのはその一幕「2018年７月13日シカゴ公演」です。まずは、彼の近況を知る意味でもスケジュールの中でショウのポジションを確認してみましょう。

これが現在までに公表されているスケジュール。今年は新作発表と前後して、約半年で65公演も実施しており、早くも2019年のショウも決まり始めました。齢74になったボズが益々意欲に燃えているのが日程からもよく分かります。本作のシカゴ公演は、その中でも『OUT OF THE BLUES』リリース直前となる「北米#2」の20公演目にあたるコンサートでした。
また、実はこの日の主役はボズではありませんでした。“SON OF A SON OF A SAILOR ’18”で全米ツアー中のジミー・バフェットがシカゴ公演を行っており、ボズは特別ゲストとして参加。キャロライン・ジョーンズ＆マック・マカナリーと共にオープニングを務めたのです。豪華なラインナップは半ばフェスの様相となり、WEBキャストで生中継。本作は、そのボズ編をベスト・マスターで収録したものなのです。
