Project team teaming up Dylan’s existing audience shot video The DVDylan series restores audience shot images shot with video cameras of the 1980s and 1990s, narrow range of sound picked up by video cameras To a high-quality audience recording, and it continues to upload a complete recording title of the concert by covering it with the still picture state with respect to the after-recording, and furthermore, the un-recorded part of the video. Even at our shop some gifts and releases of the DVDylan series have been released from its superior finish, for example Brighton 2002 is remembered in a new place.
Boston in 1989 was chosen as a gift this time. Dylan of this year had completed the name board “OH MERCY” made with Daniel Ranois as a producer introduced from Uono Bono in the spring. Immediately after that, we are doing energetic tours, but we will keep track of the songs from the same album until the release of the album in the US on September 18th. As soon as “OH MERCY” is released, it will be praised as a masterpiece that releases the radiance that did not exist in albums of recent years. From the second week of October when three weeks have passed since that release, a long-awaited tour began. In the process that spanned two months finally the song from “OH MERCY” was performed live.
From this tour I was able to hear that pattern with the name plate “MERCY FOR POUGHKEEPSIE” of our release, but unlike tours up to September, the tracks of “OH MERCY” recorded extensively, literally “OH MERCY “time to call. Of course, it was a translation that was in the height of the never ending tour that arranged masterpiece GE · Smith, but it was surprisingly short to say that it was time to push the song “OH MERCY” included in the foreground to the front. Regarding that, it is because the repertoire has increased as soon as the year has passed, as the public rehearsal at Toy’s Place in 1990, which had already been released, stated.
Regarding Boston on October 24th released as a gift this time, the pattern unique to this time that the opening curtains with “Seeing The Real You At Last”. From there there are plenty of tracks of “OH MERCY”, while most of the songs are playing without opening the intervals, as if it were a jazz-like live event.
However, since it is an audience shot of one camera, the image captures only Dylan at the beginning and can not deny the one pattern of the angle. The appearance of Smith manipulating the Les Paul of the gold top appears occasionally, and drummer Christopher Parka also appeared a bit. However, it does not appear to Tony Gagne as a base currently enrolled in the Dylan band at all.
And it is a big drawback that the first tape finished when “It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry” began, and it was not taken until the middle of Angkor’s “Most Of The Time”. Although it is buried with the still picture of DVDylan’s favorite, since this part is long, it is a level such as “The picture is attached with bonus of good sound quality audience recording” on the whole.
However, the image quality carefully DVDized from the video master is surprisingly fresh and the dubbing of the audience recording is also precise. And while continuing to play the songs quickly, while GE plays the lead, Dylan’s appearance which uses chord depression method differently and sticks to sharp backing is included plenty of the unique stages of the stage at this time.

そして「It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry」が始まったところで最初のテープが終わってしまい、アンコールの「Most Of The Time」の途中まで撮影されていない点が大きな欠点。
