Bob Dylan who is also remembered for his historical Fuji Rock appearance. The best live album of the latest tour which continues after that is appearance.
It is recorded in this work “August 6, 2018 Dover performance”. It is one of Asia tours including Japan. Dylan is currently touring Australia for the first time in four years. First of all, let’s check from 2018 schedule to confirm such a situation.

· March 22 – April 27: Europe (26 performances)
· July 27 – August 6: Asia (5 shows) ← ★ Coco ★
· August 8 – 28: Oceania (11 shows)
· October 4 – November 20: North America (31 shows)

This is the schedule which has been published to date. “Asia” tours took place in five countries in one performance, Korea → Japan → Taiwan → Hong Kong → Singapore. The last day of the Dover performance of this work. It was my third concert in 7 years in Singapore.
This work which breathed such a show is a fresh and neat audience recording. Fuji Rock appeared the other day as an outdoor festival I felt the opening feeling of zero echoes, but this work is conversely a beautiful ringing unique to an indoor venue is wonderful. The “THE STAR PERFORMING ARTS CENTER” which became the site is a relatively new venue opened in 2012, with about 5,000 seats in the hall. In the Tokyo International Forum class in Japan, various bands / musicians such as David Foster, DEEP PURPLE, Elton John, JOURNEY and so on have done show. While this work sucks a beautiful response from such a venue in Singapore, the singing voice of Dylan and the touch of the piano reach the details clearly. Rather than a sound board, it is a sound that you can taste the beauty of the scene that you can achieve because it is an audience all over the body.
What’s even wonderful is the fact that the air in the scene returned to silence. Of course, among the songs, applause spreads to the venue and it is not silky. However, such encouragement is also caught in the distance, and concentrating power to say that both Dylan’s single voice and one piano’s note will not be missed is dominated during the performance. It is as mood as it was when rare in Japan. Thanks to that, all the vibrations are beautifully drawn from the rising of one note to the moment when it disappears. Of course, it is certain that the recording itself is excellent, but it is the world of beautiful sounds realized by the feeling of breathing in the field more than that.
The quality drawn by that quality is like a further expansion of historical Fuji Rock. It was a bit shorter in Festival in Japan, but in Singapore it got bigger. In addition to showing all of the same songs as in Japan, the “Tangled Up in Blue”, “Gotta Serve Somebody” and “TEMPEST” “Pay in Blood” and “Soon After Midnight” are also played in the 70’s. Approximately the above “European” tour was played, but “Gotta Serve Somebody” is the only resurgence in about seven years. In Japan, the composition of the entire song original became a topic (cover was also played in Europe), but its concept does not change even in Singapore, and it runs through the volume of 20 songs.

Delicious singer poll performance which was further increased from Fuji Rock which was wonderful. It is a masterpiece of a live album that can immerse yourself over the scene at its finest sound. And the same song as the Japanese performance tastes quite different Hall · show. It is a sequel to historical Fuji Rock, it is an expansion version, and it is one which is also another version. 歴史的なフジロック出演も記憶に新しいボブ・ディラン。その後も続いている最新ツアーの極上ライヴアルバムが登場です。
本作に記録されているのは「2018年８月６日ドーバー公演」。日本を含めたアジア・ツアーの一幕です。現在、ディランは４年ぶりとなるオーストラリアをツアー中。まずは、そんな近況を確認する意味でも2018年の日程から確認してみましょう。

これが現在までに公表されているスケジュール。「アジア」ツアーは５ヵ国を１公演ずつ、韓国→日本→台湾→香港→シンガポールで巡りました。本作のドーバー公演はその最終日。７年ぶり３度目となるシンガポールでのコンサートでした。
そんなショウを吸い込んだ本作は、実に瑞々しく端正なオーディエンス録音。先日のフジロック出演は野外フェスらしい反響ゼロの開放感が感じられましたが、本作は逆に屋内会場ならではの美しい鳴りが素晴らしい。現場となった“THE STAR PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE”は約5,000席のホールで、2012年に開設された比較的新しい会場。日本で言うなら東京国際フォーラム・クラスで、これまでデヴィッド・フォスターやDEEP PURPLE、エルトン・ジョン、JOURNEYなど、さまざまなバンド／ミュージシャンがショウを行ってきました。本作は、そんなシンガポールの名会場の美しい反響をほんのりと吸い込みつつ、ディランの歌声やピアノのタッチが細部までくっきりと届く。サウンドボード的というよりは、オーディエンスだからこそ成し得る現場の美を全身で味わえるサウンドなのです。
さらに素晴らしいのが、しんと静まり返った現場の空気。もちろん、曲間では喝采が会場に広がり、シラけているわけではありません。しかし、そんな声援も遠くに捉えられており、演奏中に至ってはディランの一声も、ピアノの１音も聞き逃すまいと言う集中力が支配する。まるで来日自体が珍しかった頃のようなムードなのです。そのおかげで１音１音の立ち上がりから消え去る刹那に至るまで、すべてのヴァイヴが綺麗に描かれる。もちろん、録音自体が優れているのは確かですが、それ以上に現場の呼吸感までもが相まって実現した美音の世界なのです。
そのクオリティで描かれるのは、歴史的なフジロックを更に拡大させたようなショウ。日本公演ではフェスだけにやや短めではありましたが、シンガポールではグッと増量。日本と同じ全曲を披露しつつ、さらに70年代の「Tangled Up in Blue」「Gotta Serve Somebody」や『TEMPEST』の「Pay in Blood」「Soon After Midnight」も演奏されるのです。おおよそ上記の「欧州」ツアーでも演奏されていた曲ですが、「Gotta Serve Somebody」だけは約７年ぶりの復活。日本でも全曲オリジナルという構成が話題になりました（欧州ではカバーも演奏されていました）が、そのコンセプトはシンガポールでも変わらず、20曲ものボリュームをロックに駆け抜けるのです。

素晴らしかったフジロックからさらに増量された美味しいシンガーポル公演。その現場を極上のサウンドでじっくりと浸りきれるライヴアルバムの大傑作です。そして、日本公演と同じ曲も味わいはまったく異なるホール・ショウ。歴史的なフジロックの続編であり、拡大編であり、別バージョンでもある１本。ぜひ、存分にご堪能ください。
