８０年にリリースされたキャピトル編集「レアリティーズ」も未ＣＤ化のままボックス未収録でした。今回このボックス・セットを 補完する形で未収録音源をまとめたものが『ザ・ＵＳアルバムス・レアリティーズ』です。６０年代当時の疑似ステレオやアメリカ独自のミックスやエコー処理を施したキャピトル音源を時系列に完全網羅。コレクターにはお馴染みの「セカンド・アルバム」や「ラバー・ソウル」の通称”デクスタライズド”ステレオ音源やボックス未収録の「アイム・オンリー・スリーピング」各ミックス違いさらに近年注目されたエコーがかった「ゴット・トゥ・ゲット・ユー・イントゥ・マイ・ライフ」、イントロ・カウントがフェイド・インする「ベイビー・ユー・アー・リッチマン」等の入手困難なレア音源も収録されています。本来内容を編集し直してボックス 収録すべきだった８０年版『レアリティーズ』はあえてオリジナル通りの内容を残し追加トラックを加えたエクスパンデッド・エディションでリリース。 オリジナルの見開きジャケットを再現しレーベルやインナー・フォトも掲載。ボックス・セット『THE U.S.ALBUMS』に今回の２つの”レアリティーズ”を揃えればオリジナル・キャピトル音源をばっちり補完することができる大推薦のコレクターズ・セットです。
