Cozy Powell left behind, the so-called “Cozy Tapes”, you can listen to RAINBOW and BLACK SABBATH, valuable demo of famous bands like WHITESNAKE number. Activities in these famous band is a big attraction of Cozy but, at the same as much, colorful session activities Cozy features. Also demo of these sessions activities, as represented by that “ALIVE IN STUDIO” series, and there are many.
This work Cozy Among them was recorded the sound source at the time of the session participated in the “LONG COLD WINTER” of CINDERELLA “LONG COLD WINTER SESSION” is one aspect of his activities, delight in a way that it can be said that the best.

Than this film cassette master Cozy is owned, in the index sheet “Tom’s Tape” to those Onban the tape that had been handwritten in direct. The contents of the studio demo of the 2nd album of CINDERELLA as described above “LONG COLD WINTER”. This kind of sound sources and basic track rhythm was recorded, I often instrumental demo went to guitar, the sound source is recording previous writing session take. Music was born, in the middle stage to continue to obtain the form, you can enjoy the highest level of stereo sound board aligned triple threat of clearness, lightness and sense of separation.

In this “LONG COLD WINTER” from that time, Fred Corey of the original drummer, because it could not be played like I think in the studio from the lack of experience, Cozy Powell and Denny Kamasshi is called in the help, the rhythm of the same album He was in charge of, have been known to talk about that. Since the Cozy had participated in a form close to the secret middle, but is only the session but the thought is often of recording, I actually was involved in this work from the stage of songwriting.
In fact, Tom Keifer is at the time of the interview,
When you raised the name of the “Cozy, I thought immediately I can do him. So I contact the Cozy. I he told me happily undertaken. Who flew in about two days. And immediately entered the studio , I had to remember while spear together one by one song. he was using it. drum set as it is a Fred because it really swallow I was early. place he had taken one take in the first of the board came. he It is amazing is ”
I had answered ……. This tape is exactly the thing that was recorded the state of the rehearsal session.

Through the whole volume of the recorded content, in the form to match the tune of the guitar riff to play Tom (basic while in the rough), is the impression that Cozy is banging on the powerful in their own color. Finished in the album, but we’re preoccupied with how to strike neat, play to listen in this sound source is, exactly Cozy Powell mark of play volley! The more Tom and Cozy would think “What was going to this remains the official band activities?”, You to hear the free exchange and the breath of the suits combination.
Also in music manner has been recorded the album songs, except for “Second Wind”. As seen in the cassette-index photo (posted on the inner jacket), although the song titles are determined, including the whole of the arrangement, not yet led to the completion of the music.
“Coming Home,” “Take Me Back” other than Tom sing provisional song listen in, instrumental take of without all of the other songs. Cozy drums and Eric of the base, the three-piece of Tom’s guitar, we established a skeleton and the appearance of the song while emits a fresh groove (this session is, will remind you “ASSAULT ATTACK DEMOS” somewhere MSG ). Cozy ness exert been groovy “If You Do not Like It” and, powerful “Fallin ‘Apart At The Seams” (ending of the drum roll is great power!) Will take must-listen. In addition and “Slide It In,” “Take Me Back” reminiscent of, riff of “The Last Mile” There are things very pleasant. Noteworthy is the title track, “Long Cold Winter”! This song only has organ is added, in a massive Kyokuso calm, figure Cozy is to burst the play of Burr John Bonham (one shot one shot is heavy!) Is a masterpiece.
The second half recorded in the classic “Do not Know What You Got (Till It’s Gone)” does not miss to listen to. Kyokuso, such as heart-warming to Honoka, will give a definite impression on hand to listen to even if there is no song. In “Fire And Ice” of the last, Cozy also retaliated with tight play to good riff of alive Tom engrave. In the last (there while fade-out but) Tsubasu barrage also pops out. In the play to please listeners as “Korezo Cozy Powell!”, Recording will end.

This time, Cozy is EL & POWELL is finished, such as the work on the projects and sessions, such as FORCEFIELD in the main, was the stage of seeking a “new activities”. Cozy is a look at the success of the same period WHITESNAKE, “Do I even be defeated!”, Would have been eager. From the play that contains the fighting spirit in the matches was the session here, you will be acutely To handed down motivation and passion of such Cozy (for connecting the motivation is the fruit, “HEADLESS CROSS” of BLACK SABBATH who participated in the immediately following was was I).
In Cozy career walked the high road of British rock, “LONG COLD WINTER” might be the class of a different color. But about 41 minutes of this work, even if you do not know the album, will be 120 percent satisfied Cozy fan. This Limited press CD is the one you do not miss absolutely if fans!

★ is a review summary of beatleg magazine vol.124 (2010 December issue). In case you’re wondering.

During the recording of the Cinderella of the second album, “LONG COLD WINTER”, because the talent shortage of Fred Corey of the drummer was not helpless, Cozy Powell has been called as a replacement drummer. The board is intended to have recorded the initial session at that time, one in which turned into press CD and cassette master Cozy had been owned by the direct. Cozy had said in an interview after Tom Kiefer and was used as a drum set of Fred, simple but very listen powerful play.

コージーらしさが発揮されたグルーヴィな「If You Don’t Like It」や、パワフルな「Fallin’ Apart At The Seams」(エンディングのドラムロールは大迫力!) また「Slide It In」を連想させる「Take Me Back」や、「The Last Mile」のリフは大変に心地よいものがあります。
後半に収録された名曲「Don’t Know What You Got (Till It’s Gone)」も聴き逃せません。
