Along with MOTLEY CRUE, QUIET RIOT, ROUGH CUTT etc., RATT is one of the leading drivers who led the LA Metal Movement. Vocalist Stephen Percy started in the late 1970s, although there were many members entering and exiting, it was a high popularity in the music scene of Los Angeles around ’81, which had Jake E. In this work, from the time “INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY” back then, we performed the ’86 UK tour of OZZY OSBOURNE ‘s “ULTIMATE SIN” tour and the Nottingham “Royal Concert Hall” performance on February 27, Crazy It is recorded for about 53 minutes with a wonderful audience recording by Mr. S. recording. Includes the only super master sound source that was highly evaluated by “Invasion U. K.” which was released from the Lagnley label in 2001 from the cassette master provided by Crazy S. Of course, up to 20 seconds has been recorded longer than the previous episode.

Opening and wide sound and presence feeling like wrapping the listener at the moment when “Dangerous But Worth The Risk” began, and outstanding clearness is a wonderful word. The sound that each member’s play jumps out from the left and right of the channel is such a quality that it is unlikely to be an audience recording. Of course Robin and Warren’s twin guitar are brilliant, as well as the bouncing Bobby and Foian rhythm is particularly impressive. Stephen’s unique vocals are also lively. Were you surely a wonderful sound source so far even at the RATT live sauce that came out in the past? The set is mainly composed of songs from “INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY”, and in numbers numbered as “Dangerous But Worth The Risk” · “Give It All” and “You Should Know By Now” and “Never Use Love” You can enjoy spectacular performances full of lively dynamics like “Ratton · Roll”. ヴォーカルのスティーヴン・パーシーが’70年代後半にスタートさせたこのバンドは、メンバーの出入りこそ多かったものの、ギターにジェイク・Ｅ・リーを擁していた’81年頃には、ロサンゼルスの音楽シーンでも高い人気を持つようになりました。このジェイクが脱退すると他のメンバーも相次いで離脱しバンドは危機に瀕しますが、スティーヴンはメンバーを一新する形でバンド再建に着手。ロビン・クロスビーとウォーレン・デマルティーニのツインギターを中心に、ドラムにはボビー・ブロッツァー、さらにベースへ元DOKKENのフォアン・クルーシェを迎えてラインナップを固め、バンドは飛躍の時を迎えます。このメンバーでE.P.「RATT」を発表すると、メジャー・デビュー作「OUT OF THE CELLAR」がいきなり全米7位のヒット。派手で明るいサウンドとして確立された彼らの音楽性はファンから”ラットン・ロール”として親しまれます。バンドはその勢いを持ち込んで、2ndアルバム「INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY」を’85年7月に発表。ビデオ・クリップが作られた「Lay It Down」も話題となり、OZZY OSBOURNEらの前座として、アメリカだけでなくヨーロッパでもエネルギッシュなライヴを披露。同年8月には第6回”モンスターズ・オブ・ロック”にも出演しました。
本作ではその「INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY」当時より、OZZY OSBOURNEの「THE ULTIMATE SIN」ツアーのサポートとして行なった’86年イギリスツアー、2月27日のノッティンガム”ロイヤル・コンサート・ホール”公演を、Crazy S.氏の録音による素晴らしいオーディエンス録音で約53分間に渡り完全収録しています。2001年にLagnleyレーベルからリリースされていた「Invasion U.K.」により高い評価を受けていた唯一無二のスーパーマスター音源をCrazy S.氏提供のカセットマスターより収録。音質のアップは勿論、既発より20秒近く長く収録されています。

オープニングそして「Dangerous But Worth The Risk」が始まった瞬間に聴き手を包み込むようなワイドな音響と臨場感、そして抜群のクリアネスは素晴らしいの一言。メンバーそれぞれのプレイがチャンネルの左右から飛び出してくるサウンドは、これがオーディエンス録音とは思えないほどのクオリティです。ロビンとウォーレンのツインギターが鮮やかなのはもちろん、跳ねるようなボビーとフォアンのリズムは特に印象的。スティーヴンの個性的なヴォーカルも活き活きとしています。過去に出回ったRATTのライヴ・ソースでも、ここまで素晴らしい音源が、果たして存在したでしょうか？　テーパーのCrazy S.氏はこの’86年に多くの絶品録音を残していますが、本録音はその中でもトップクラスだと断言できます！当然ながらピッチも正常。サウンドもリマスターによって、さらにソリッドな聴き応えを増しています。

セットは「INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY」からの楽曲が中心で、「Dangerous But Worth The Risk」・「Give It All」そして「You Should Know By Now」や「Never Use Love」と連発されるナンバーにおいては、”ラットン・ロール”らしい躍動感あふれる華やかなパフォーマンスを満喫できます。それらに織り込まれた1stの名曲「Wanted Man」、デビューE.P.からの「Walkin’ The Dog」や「You Think You’re Tough」も存在感があり、会場を明るく開放的なムードへと巻き込んでいきます。このL.A.メタルならではの楽しさと盛り上がりには、聴き手も思わず心が浮き立ってしまうでしょう。後にWHITESNAKEへと参加するウォーレンは、この当時から才気にあふれるギターをプレイしており、各曲でのフラッシーなプレイは必聴。「Never Use Love」から続くフリーソロでもその腕前を見せ付けます。ロビンも負けじと「You Think You’re Tough」の冒頭でヘヴィなギター・サウンドを披露。バンド・イメージが先行しがちなRATTですが、演奏の基盤もしっかりしている事を理解できます。
ヒット曲「Lay It Down」からショウはいよいよ佳境に突入。同曲からメドレー展開する「You’re In Love」も、アルバムとはまた違った面白さがあります。ライヴを締めくくるセット本編最後の「Sweet Cheater」、アンコールの「Round And Round」はどちらもパワフルな演奏が聴き手をノックアウト。RATTらしい陽性な雰囲気で心地よくラストを飾ります。

ほとんど休み暇もなく次から次へと楽曲を連発するライヴは、53分間の演奏時間を越えた充実感があり、オープング・アクトでありながら主役のような主張をしています（メインに出演するオジーは若手に制限をかけず、自由にライヴを行なわせていたそうで、オジーがこのライヴの”陰の立役者”かもしれません）。L.A.メタルがもっとも華やかだった’86年、その主役のライヴを最高のサウンドで切り取った本録音はまさにマスター・ピース！　’80年代メタルを愛する全てのファンに聴いて欲しいRATT最高のライヴ・ソースが、完全限定プレスCDでここにリリース決定です！
