あのホワイトスネイクを前座に全米を駆け抜けた伝説の1987年「GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS」に伴うUSツアーから、初のオーディエンス録音による極上音質・完全収録プレスCDタイトルが初登場！！7月16日のシカゴ公演を、空前絶後の高音質で完全収録。テーパーは既にZODIACレーベルからメタリカ、オジー・オスボーン、アイアン・メイデン、ハート等を複数タイトルリリースし、その全てが怒涛の高音質収録ということで、話題のシカゴ在住テーパーによるもの。とにかく、この録音者の音といったら、異様にダイレクトで力強く、この時代の録音としてはあり得ない程のクオリティなのは、幾多の既発タイトルで証明済み。まさに「アメリカ版 Crazy S.」と言っても良いレベル。こんな凄いテーパーが80年代へヴィ・メタルをビシバシ録音してくれていたのですから、我々80’s ロック好きには本当に堪らないというか、非常に幸運なことでありました。しかも今回は、バンドの人気や勢いがピークにありながら、何故か今までまともなライヴ・ソースすら存在しなかった1987年ライヴ。それが、これだけのアイテムが登場するのは、ほとんど事件と言えるでしょう！冒頭からAll In The Name Of..、Live Wire、Dancing On Glassと畳み掛けるオープニング３連発の迫力は圧巻で、これを聴いて冷静にいられるメタルファンはいないのではないでしょうか。演ってる方も、観てる方もアドレナリン全開の強烈なライヴショウは、本当にノスタルジー云々で語れない程です。この時代のへヴィ・メタル・ムーブメントには問答無用で聴き手を圧倒する凄い力に満ちていたことが、この演奏の、そして会場の空気感から分かります。そんな凄まじいモトリーの鬼のような演奏に水を差したのがLooks That Killで、観客から花火がステージに投げ込まれたらしく一分目あたりで演奏が乱れ、直後に曲途中なのにヴィンスがマイクで激怒する様子が克明に記録されています。ギターが特に不安定になり、微妙な演奏が続きますが、次第に回復します。このようにハラハラするシーンもありますが、終演後も、アクセルのようにステージを去ってしまうわけではなく、ステージをしっかりと続ける辺りは流石。Home Sweet Homeでも始まって大きな爆竹の音が連発するなど、雰囲気はあまり穏やかではない様子。トミーはラストで珍しくピアノをミスタッチしています。しかしながら観客が引き起こした問題はLooks That Kill位で、後はプロフェッショナル然とした見事なステージを展開しています。トミーのドラムソロでは有名なドラム台360度大回転という大掛かりな仕掛けが用意され、あまりの凄まじい演出に、場内が騒然となる様子が克明に記録されています。この辺の盛り上がりは音だけ聴いていても十分に楽しめるものです。1987年ツアーお馴染みのアンコールのロック・クラシック・メドレーではチープ・トリックがゲストで登場。演奏に華を添えます。とにかく演奏も音も凄まじいのですが、是非とも聴いて頂きたいのがアンコールラストのGirls, Girls, Girls のバイク音のSE。これがこんなに凄い音で録れていると言うだけで驚きで、よほどマイクが良いのでしょう。勿論バンドの楽音も凄まじいです。80年代のモトリー・クルーのライヴを代表する一枚になること必至の一大決定盤。好評ZODIAC レーベルから限定プレスCDリリース決定です。
