このように、盗作トラブルから持ち上がった企画は、レコーディングの過程からリリースにおいてさえ様々なトラブルを抱えつつ、ジョンが主夫生活に入る前の集大成として、自らのルーツであるロックンロールのカバーアルバム「Rock ‘N Roll」として結実しました。本作は、そのセッションの全てを網羅したもので、ジョンのマニアのみならず、ロックの歴史上、重要なアルバムのアウトテイク集として必携のタイトルと言えるでしょう。ディスク3の最後には、アルバムのリリースに伴う当時のラジオ・スポットと、1974年11月24日に行なわれたエルトンジョンとのリハーサル「I Saw Her Standing There」を収録しています。
