　よく知られているように、ソロでの出演を決めたミック・ジャガーに対して同イベントにこれといった予定のなかったキース・リチャーズとロン・ウッドが当時バンドを持っていなかったディランから依頼されて三人でイベントに出演することを決めました。ところがさまざまなアーティストと機材の入り混じるライブ・イベントであり、ディラン達が登場する頃にはフィナーレ「We Are The World」の準備でモニターの接続などはめちゃくちゃだったようです。同じような混乱の弊害がイギリス側のステージでもポール・マッカートニーのステージで彼の声が聴こえないといった形で現れていましたが、アメリカ側のステージでもディランのアコースティックな演奏の最中で自分たちの演奏がほとんど聞こえない状況だったようです。挙句の果てには「Blowin’ In The Wind」の最中でディランのギターの弦が切れてしまったのだから悲惨なこと極まりない出演でした。しかも今回のバージョンは最後の「We Are The World」まで収録しており、懐かしのエイティーズ・スターが多数現れる場面も楽しめます。ディランとストーンズのメンバーの共演という華やかさとは裏腹にそのあまりな演奏内容（笑）と合わせ、ある種の定番として有名なライブ映像のレアなBBCバージョンをお楽しみくださ
