今回の「LET IT BE」リリースで触れましたように、ビートルズ解散後から1980年代前半ぐらいまで、ビートルズ初期の劇映画は頻繁にテレビで放映されていたものです。それに声優によって日本語に吹き替えられていたのも当たり前。昭和のテレビ世代にはむしろそういった放送こそが懐かしく感じられるのではないでしょうか？今のような字幕の感覚は映画館だけのものであって、テレビでは日本語、そんな当たり前の感覚でビートルズの映画を見ていた日々は本当に懐かしいものですね。ですから「A HARD DAY’S NIGHT」ではなくて「ビートルズがやって来るヤァ！ヤァ！ヤァ！」という邦題が当たり前だったものです。そんな懐かしい日本語吹き替え版が最近になってネット上に現れましたが、それをコレクター提供のビデオマスターよりDVD-R化したのが今回のギフト・アイテムです。しかも放送時は「ビートルズがやって「来た」ヤァ！ヤァ！ヤァ！」というタイトルでした（笑）。映画がテレビで放送される際にはよくあることですが、この放送では所々のシーンがカットされた短縮バージョンとなっています。例を挙げれば電車内でのやりとりから「おじさん！ボール取ってよ！」や記者とのパーティの場面、さらに「ゴージャス・ジョージ」のシーン、そしてショウ本番が始まる前の場面などがカットされていました。その強引な中で聴かせる吹き替えバージョンは本当に愉快で懐かしいもの。例えばジョンが風呂場で遊ぶシーンなどは元の内容とかなり違う台詞に変わっていて思わず笑ってしまいます。全体的にはビデオの劣化感がある映像ですが、昭和の空気感たっぷりな放送は十分に楽しめることを保証します。本当に笑えます！

（追加）尚、ラストには「HELP!四人はアイドル」のこれまた、貴重な吹き替え版放送の予告編映像が追加収録されています。ここでのヤッターマンのドクロベエで有名な方の吹き替えがインパクト抜群。短めですが必見パートになっています。
