昨年度より「The Revenge In Dayton」「The Revenge Is Ready」「Anaheim 1976」「Amityville 1973」「Studio Demos 1975」「Unreleased Spring 1973 Rehearsal」とキッスの熱心なコレクターなら耳を疑う未発表優良レア・マスターを連発しているZODIACレーベルのキッス・シリーズは、世界中のファンの間で大きな話題を呼んでいます。本作は、同一音源提供者からのマスターをダイレクト使用した最新作。今度は何と、エースの1993年日本公演サウンドボードです。エースは1993年11月にソロで来日し、川口、川崎、名古屋、大阪で計5回のショウを行っています。本作はその1993年ジャパン・ツアーより、11月7日の名古屋ダイヤモンド・ホール公演と8日の大阪W’OHOL公演をステレオ・サウンドボード録音で収録した2枚組。どちらも卓直結のマスター音源を使用しており、音質は完璧の一言。名古屋公演は75分の収録でラストのDetroit Rock CityとDuece以外をフル収録。滅多に聴けない優れたクリアーなサウンドボードで貴重な93年名古屋公演を楽しむことができます。代わって大阪公演は、Strange Ways終演後の2 Young 2 Die～Richie Scarlet Guitar Soloが未収ですが、こちらは名古屋未収のDetroit Rock Cityと Duece（2分50秒でカットアウト）が収録されています。大阪公演の音質は名古屋公演を更に上回るものと言え、この大阪SBDのみ既発CDRタイトルでも聴くことができましたが、音質はマスターダイレクトの本作の方が遥かに勝っており、全体の聴きごたえは素晴らしいものがあります。収録時間は80分で、名古屋公演より5分長く収録されています。セットは両公演とも同じですが、名古屋は冒頭SEのAC/DC For Those About To Rockからの収録。大阪はSE後のエースの「今晩のセットを友人のタケシに捧げます」というMCからのスタート。1987年にFrehley’s Comet、1989年にはソロ名義でTrouble Walkin’ をリリースしているものの、この時期はレコード会社契約がなく、ステージはファンが求めるキッス・ナンバーの数々を連発しています。勿論Frehley’s CometやTrouble Walkin’収録曲も演奏していますが。ステージの肝になるのは何と言ってもキッス時代のナンバーで、それらを中心にショウが進行していきます（16曲中う11曲がキッス・ナンバー。）エースのソロタイムではキッス時代のソロをのフレーズをちりばめながら、最後はピックアップから白煙を出すと言う懐かしいパフォーマンスを披露。ファンを大いに喜ばせています。当時のエースの盟友でエンペラー・オブ・ロックンロールの異名を持つリッチー・スカーレットもリード・ヴォーカルをとり、ライブを盛り上げます。「去年亡くなったエリック・カーに捧げる。彼とのメモリーのために」というエースのMCから演奏されるBreackoutではリッチーがカッコよいボーカルをとります。（名古屋公演録音ではリッチーのソロタイムもライン録音でばっちり聴けます。）今年は新作「Space Invader」のリリースが予定されており、国内版も今月リリースされる予定ですが、今回こそ、ソロでの来日を期待したいところ。（大阪公演ではエースが笑いながら「15年ぶりの大阪だ」とMCします。）エース史上、唯一のソロ来日ツアーである1993年「JUST FOR FUN JAPAN TOUR」からの決定版ステレオ・サウンドボード音源を収録した2枚組プレスCD。キッス・マニアにはマストな1枚と言えるでしょう！！
