最高のライヴを最高のオーディエンス録音でたっぷりと楽しめる一枚！2014年、新作「MADE UP MIND」に伴う日本なツアーの初日、2月6日の渋谷公会堂公演を、オリジナル・マスターより1時間50分に渡って完全収録。オーセンティックな演奏にはオーセンティックな録音サウンドが似合う、とばかりに、最近の高域を強調したデジタル臭さの無い、マイルドで骨太、ナチュラルかつスペーシーな、まさに演奏とジャストマッチした見事な録音で、総勢11名の凄腕ミュージシャンらの放つ、この夜の素晴らしいライヴ・パフォーマンスを完璧に捉えています。録音ポジションは1階5列目センター席でいうことで音も近く、全体のバランスも言うことなし。オープニングではPAが決まっていないようで、テデスキのヴォーカルが遠い感じでしたがドイルが出てきた辺りから改善されてきたのが判ります。セットは新作「MADE UP MIND」の曲が中心で、１曲目からデレクのスライドが炸裂！オテイル・バーブリッジの脱退で懸念されたベースも新メンバーのティム・ルフェーヴルがツインドラムと見事なマッチングで強烈なリズム隊を編成。ゲスト・ギタリストとして参加すしたドイル・ブラムホールⅡは6曲目のSt. James InfirmaryからPalace Of The Kingまで参加。10曲目に演奏されたフレディ・キングのPalace Of The Kingでのワウを踏んで凄まじいギターバトルを繰り広げる様は聴きどころです。ドイルが下がって、「REVELATOR」からの曲に戻ると、デレクはしっとりとした艶やかなスライドを聴かせてくれます。本編ラストThe Stormでのデレクのソロも圧巻。グイグイと押してくるツインドラムとギターのバトルが怒濤の迫力で迫ってきます。アンコールのSpace Captainでは再びドイルがでてきましたが、この曲ではギターを持たず、後方でタンバリンを持って参加。ここでもデレクが素晴らしいスライドを聴かせてくれます。全編を通しての聴きごたえは相当なもの。最新ツアーの最良の記録として、ファンは是非、ご一聴下さい。
