大元になったマスターは、当時リリースされた日本盤VHS。その保存状態はいわゆる「ドンピカ」というヤツでして、国内コアマニアが大切に補完していたミント・クオリティ。カバーのビニールこそ開封されていましたが、日焼けはおろかシワさえない。思わず「白手袋で触った方がいいですか？」と聞いてしまったくらいです。これほどの大切に保管していたコレクター氏が協力してくださるのは、ひとえに「最上クオリティで見たいから」というもの。いかにミント・クオリティ、完璧な保存状態とは言っても、永遠に残せるわけではない。まだ完璧な状態で見られる今のうちに、デジタルに移し替えないと……その危機感がコレクター氏の心を動かしたのです。
