マイケル・シェンカーのプロ初録音や偽名シングルまで収録した激レア・コレクション「THE SONGS THAT WON’T GO AWAY」。しかし、本編プレス２CDは、あくまで“激レア”・“聴いて面白い”トラックを厳選したもの。レアテイクの総てでもありません。そこで、プレスCDの選から漏れたレアトラックを、さらに17曲76分収録したボーナスCDRをお贈りします。
本作に収録したのは、本編プレスCDを「聴いて面白い」レベルにするため、惜しくも漏れたトラックたち。例えば、いかなレアと言っても、同じ曲の別バージョンが延々いくつも続いたら退屈ですよね？　そのため、“なるべく長いもの”、“アルバムとは違うもの”を本編プレスCDに収録し、残りをこちらに収録したわけです。
ですので、本作のサウンド・クオリティもまた、極上オフィシャル級ですし、貴重度も引けをとらない。本編と併せることでコレクションが完成する逸品なのです。それでは、こちらも各テイクを詳細にご紹介しましょう。
