今度は最終日となった10月6日のライブを同じようにDATマス ターによる超高音質オーディエンス録音ソースで 収録されたブートレッグだ。インターネット上 では全公演のライブ音源が流通しているのでその セットリストや音源なども簡単に入手できるのだ が、このブートレッグはそういった世界からの音源ではなく、オリジナルのソースを使用している こだわりを感じる。もちろんライブをたっぷりと満喫できる レベルを超えた音質であることには変わりはないので感動的なモット・ザ・フープルの再結成最終日公演を楽しんでもらいたいタイトル。セットリ スト的にはほぼ固定なのでそれほどの変化はない が、初日と同じく後半のアコースティックパート では「Like A Rolling Stone」をプレイしているし、続く「The Journey」にしても最終日という背景で聴い ているからか非常に哀愁漂う演奏と歌声に聞こえ てしまうから不思議だ。ライブ全体のノリとして は何とな先の3日の公演の方が出来映えが良いように感じるがきっと自分の感覚の問題だろう。どこからどう聴いても最高のロックンロールを演じ て聴かせてくれるので改めてモット・ザ・フープ ルというバンドに惚れ込んでしまうこと間違いの ないライブだ。これで終わりかと思うと残念では あるが、ここで再度聴けたということだけで満足 としなければいけない。今後は様々な形でのライ ブソースなどの発掘も期待したいし、もちろんオ フィシャルでも相当リリースされているので楽し む要素はまだまだある。まずはそんな想いを寄せ てこのライブの最後の聴いておきたい。これほど イギリス国民に愛されているのだから日本でもも う少し気に掛けてもらいたいバンドなのだ。ブー トレッグに使われた多数の写真はこのライブのも のからだが、もちろん老けたロックンローラーと は云え、イアン・ハンターの見事なロックな風貌 にも感動する。モット・ザ・フープルを全ての若 き野郎どもに捧げてたい。
