これはめでたい！ストーンズ・ファン待望の2014年オーストラリア・ツアー初演、10月25日のアデレード公演のオーディエンス録音のニューマスターです。勿論、これもまたネットに登場した新音源です。前回の同公演ギフト盤「ADELAIDE 2014」は登場は嬉しかったものの、質的に難有の、鑑賞に忍耐を強いる結構トンデモ音源でありました。それに比べれば、今回のニューマスターは質的には明らかにグッド。音像がコロコロ変わったりノイズが走りまくってビックリ！などと言う前作のような失態はありません。楽音もしっかりと捉えており、珍しく周囲に煩い観客もいないので、初めてストレスなしでアデレード公演を聴くことが出来るお薦めタイトルと言えます。間違いなく良質なサウンド、しかし、このままプレス化できるかと言えば、それはちょっと冒険というか難しいのでは、と感じる音でした。勿論、ストーンズの長い歴史を音源と言う形でコレクションされている当店のお客様なら「全然聴けるじゃん！」と思われるのは間違いないレベルなであり、しかも、今後、これ以上に良質な音のアデレード音源が出現しなかった場合、本音源はコレクターには非常に重要な一枚になるはずです。実際そこまで悪い録音ではない・・・ということで、当店のスタッフが懸命にリマスターを施したのが本セットのディスク１＆２に収録されている「Remastered Version」です。原音を殆どいじらずにそのまま収録したのがディスク３＆４の「Original Sound」なわけですが、それと比較すれば、明らかに音がクリアで前に出ているのがお判りになると思います。しかし、イマイチな録音は、どういじってもやっぱりイマイチなわけで、リマスター版と言えど、そこまでの高音質盤には仕上がっていません。オーディオ的な質の高さを感じさせるのは明らかにこのディスク１＆２のリマスターテイクなのですが、ディスク３＆４で聴ける、雑みを含んだもっさり感・ナチュラル感が魅力のオリジナル音源も捨てがたいものがあり、今回は資料性を重視し、4枚組・2ヴァージョンというかたちで、ギフト・リリースすることにしました。ネットの解説を読むと、今回、アップされた音源は、拍手等の緩和、レベル調整や部分的補正もしっかりと行っている造りこまれたヴァージョンとのことですので、今回、ディスク３＆４で聴けるオリジナルテイクもやはりマニア必聴と感じます。ステージからの距離感、もっさりした感触、若干の情報量不足はいかんともしがたいものがありますが、本当に普通には聴けますし、実際にそれ程悪くはない録音です。是非、この機会にお楽しみ下さい！
