何しろオンな音像が素晴らしく、これほどの極上音源が十年以上経った今まで眠っていたとは…。もっとも、こうした迫力な録音状態な分、周囲の音もまたリアルにキャッチされています。特に右側の男性客と左側の女性客の話し声が所々で目立つ点は好みが分かれてしまうかもしれません。しかし、それを吹き飛ばすような音圧で演奏がキャッチされていますので、ストーンズらしい演奏のワイルダネスを存分に楽しめることでしょう。

それに8月29日のウェンブリーでは今一つピリッとしなかった「Can’t You Hear Me Knocking」がまた強烈。「LICKS」ツアーでこの曲が初めてレギュラーなライブ・レパートリーとして加えられた（演奏されたと言われる1971年版…聴いてみたいものです）際には、ロニーのギター・プレイが演奏の出来を左右するほど重要な役割を果たしていたものです。それが8月29日には煮え切らなかったのですが、この日のロニーときたらキレまくるプレイで大爆発。これこそが世界中のファンを沸かせた「LICKS」ツアーの典型というものでしょう。ここでもまたツアー終盤ならではと言える場面が登場します。

こうなると負けじとばかりにキースもギター・プレイがひらめきを見せました。それがライブ終盤の「Satisfaction」だったのですが、演奏が後半を迎えて彼が弾きまくる場面はちょっと面白いです。キースが鬼のように弾きまくるのですが、途中から音が外れてしまい、それどころか外れたままで弾きまくってしまいました。これはモニターの不調などではなく、単にキースがステージからモニターの遠いところにまで行って弾いてしまったことが原因かと推測されます。キースのミスと言えばイントロや曲の展開を間違えるといった場面がストーンズの歴史において繰り返されてきましたが、こういったソロを弾く場面でのミスというのは意外に珍しいものかと思われます。
