そのサウンドは、既発とは別次元。2005年に「BEST OF MONTREAL」の登場からした際にも「極上のLIVE ACHIEVEMENTよりさらに上」「数あるQUEENのオーディエンス録音の中でも最高レベル」と激賞を集めましたが、それすら問題にならない。元々、素晴らしいバランスで演奏の機微まで伝わる名録音だったのに、さらに薄皮が２・３枚まとめて剥ぎ取られたような楽音はダイレクト感が数段上がっている。もちろん、紛れもなくオーディエンス録音のリアリティにも溢れているのですが、演奏中に歓声が静かになると「ラインを聴いてるんだっけ？」と思ってしまうほど鮮烈なのです。

まさに“「LIVE KILLERS」の本生100％バージョン”と言える本作ですが、さらに“かの名盤の完全版”としても聴いても最高。かの名作では削られてしまった「Somebody To Love」「If You Can’t Beat Them」「It’s Late」「Fat Bottomed Girls」の４曲がたっぷりと聴け、アナログ片面ずつの枠からも解放された、コンサートの自然な流れが味わえるのです。また、「LIVE KILLERS」は1979年１ー３月のヨーロッパレッグですが、本作は北米レッグ。北米では前年の「We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions」の大ヒットで完全に人気を固めたQUEENですが、本作にもその勢いはパンパンに詰まっており、“「LIVE KILLERS」の北米編”でもあるのです（そのため、北米レッグでは演奏されなかった「Don’t Stop Me Now」はありませんが）。
