1993年11月のポール2回目のソロ来日を前に国内放送された「BEATLES SPECIAL」に続いて、特別時間枠で放送された、ポール・マッカートニーのスペシャル番組「PICK UP ARTIST」を約28分収録。提供は「BEATLES SPECIAL」と同じ「ソニー・ミュージックTV」。冒頭に「Video Discography」と題して、ポールのソロビデオ27曲を約10分、独自の編集によるメドレーで年代順に流されますが、これがなかなかテンポよく、そして違和感なく、大変上手く編集されており、その楽しい演出に、ファンは思わず見入ってしまうことでしょう。今はyoutube等でクリック一発でどの時代のプロモ映像も簡単に見れてしまう便利な時代になったわけですが、当時はこのような懐かしい映像がまとめて観れる機会はそうなかっただけに、当時のファンにとっては楽しくも嬉しい、実にゴージャスな企画と言えるものだったと思われます。プロモの断片で時代を遡った後は、当時の新作「OFF THE GROUND」からのプロモ映像4曲が連続フル放送されています。余計な解説や喋り一切無しで映像だけで楽しませる姿勢が好感を感じさせる造りになっています。そして番組ラストではポールの11月のコンサート情報が流され、次に「チケットプレゼント」と題され「東京ドームのコンサートに各公演3組6名様計18名様をご招待」と太っ腹な企画が紹介されます。そして、何と言っても特筆すべきは、この時代のエアチェックビデオ映像としては破格とも言える画像クオリティです。マニアがベータマックスで標準録画したビデオマスターより、ダイレクトにDVD化したのですが、20年以上経っても経年劣化一切なしの、この美しい映像は流石は世界のソニーと思わせるものがあり、「出来るだけ高品質な映像で記録しよう」とする当時のマニアの気迫が伝わってくるような別格の映像クオリティで、3年当時の懐かしい企画番組を楽しむことができます。
